About Us

Lauren Grace Updyke is the Executive Director for Employee Experience at the University of Washington, a certified personal trainer, and an inventor who launched the first sports bra with pockets. With 24 years in health and wellness, she’s coached over 10,000 individuals and completed over 30 marathons. Originally from Canada, Lauren earned her Master’s in Exercise Physiology at the University of Louisiana and has worked in various fitness roles, including at Duke University. Outside of work, she enjoys marathon training, strength training, exploring coffee shops, and spending time with family and friends.

Kris Taft Miller is a seasoned graphic designer and founder of KT Design, a creative agency she established in 2005 after working at Walt Disney Feature Animation on films like Lilo & Stitch and Brother Bear. With over 20 years of experience, she has built KT Design into a globally recognized agency, specializing in logo design, web and print materials, and book covers. Based in Apex, North Carolina, Kris balances her professional life with family, creating stories and books with her two sons.
